AITP-LI.org announces the formation of the AITP-LI SECURITY SIG

The AITP Security SIG Mission Statement:

To offer a forum to discuss the latest security issues, threats, concerns and news across all sectors. To provide a forum for thought leadership, industry analysis, trends, technologies, and other important aspects of security. Provide education and learning experiences from each other, speakers, and experts in the field. Explore new security technologies such as cloud, mobile, virtualization, remote usage, user practices, etc. Keep appraised of legislative efforts, privacy concerns, and other related topics. Be a resource from which members can learn from the experiences of others as they have worked through similar challenges. Provide a resource for workforce development and other hiring and employment considerations. To provide networking opportunities, in order to help promote a vital business climate and open exchange of expertise.

Please join us on Tuesday, June 26th, 2012, for our members only kick off meeting. "Security is a broad topic, and to keep it relative, it will take the effort of the community to enrich it. Our "KICK OFF" meeting will be an open meeting for members to discuss ideas for the SIG, future meeting topics, and suggestions on speakers, sponsors and general feedback.

A future meeting for non-members will be announced later.
