Political Savvy

ACM and AITP Present
Political Savvy: Maximizing Your Influence in the Organization

Most innovative Ideas never see the light of day. Why?  Often because the “politics” involved in gaining support for new ideas is overlooked or underestimated. Bringing new ideas to the fore requires not only the technical competency but also knowledge of the organization’s culture and unwritten rules of engagement….something we call “political savvy”.

In This Session You Will Learn:

- That “politics” need not be avoided. Quite the contrary, you need to embrace “politics” as part of the process.

- You can exert positive influence – it does not need to be manipulative
- Winning a critical mass of support requires a well-conceived strategy.

- There are tried and true tactics and behaviors proven to enhance your ability to influence. Learn them and use them consistently
