Regional Extension Centers (RECs) were established to support and serve health care providers to become adept and meaningful users of electronic health records (EHRs).  What are they doing to accomplish this?  How will the statewide network, created by NYeC and The New York state Department of Health, enable the sharing of medical records?

Hear from representatives from our state and area RECs about their activities.

If a non-member attends the March, April or May 2011 Careers Development or Healthcare IT SIGs and joins our chapter before the end of May 2011, the person will be entitled to one free regular AITP-LI meeting, that must be taken before December 31, 2011.  Please contact Ken Mole, at kenmole@aol.com to advise him that you have met the qualifications for the free meeting.  For purposes of this promotion, the March regular meeting was a Healthcare SIG meeting and the April regular meeting will be considered a Careers Development SIG meeting.
